Typically, the easiest route from Ukraine to Mauritius is a connecting flight to Dubai. Although there are other options. For example, with a transfer in Europe to Mauritius, you can fly “Air Mauritius”, “Air France”, “British Airways”, “Lufthansa” and so on.

Airport in Mauritius

International Airport Sir Sivusagar Ramgulam – Mauritius’ only international airport – is located near the town of Mayburg, just 46 km southeast of the island’s capital, Port Louis.

The airport is based on the national carrier Air Mauritius, which operates a network of routes to neighboring islands, and also operates direct flights to some cities in Africa, Australia, Asia and Europe.

The current airport terminal – Terminal 2 – is a two-storey building with large outdoor parking. Departures are made from the second floor of the building, arrivals are made mainly on the ground floor. Only passengers are allowed in the terminal building, so there is no infrastructure other than duty-free boutiques at the airport. One shop is located in the departure area, the other is intended for arriving passengers.

Taxi

Taxis can be taken at or near the airport. The cost of the trip should be agreed in advance: most taxi drivers do not have counters. The cost of the trip is in average of 30 MUR per kilometer, while long-distance travel is reduced. For short distance travel it is quite expensive kind of transport, but renting a taxi for the whole day is much cheaper: from 3500 MUR you can thoroughly consider the whole beauty of the island.
